Posterior cervical spine
- Duration of the craniotomy: 40 min
- Location: Main auditorium
- Cost: $2,500 MXN per participant

Posterior cervical surgery, similar to anterior cervical surgery, is one of the most commonly performed spinal surgeries for degenerative disease. The posterior cervical approach involves dissection of the posterior neck with an understanding of the anatomy of muscles, bony structures (lamina, facets), yellow ligament, and neurovascular structures (spinal cord and nerve roots).
Participants will have the opportunity to practice this approach, including the exact site for the incision, proper dissection of the aforementioned structures, decompression of the spinal cord, preparation for arthrodesis, and the arthrodesis itself, with the respective instrumentation and virtual fluoroscopy (without radiation use).
