PRE-CONGRESS WORKSHOPS
SPINE MODELS
Lateral and anterior lumbar spine
- Duration of the craniotomy: 40 min
- Location: Main auditorium
- Cost: $2,500 MXN per participant

Lumbar spine surgery is probably the most common procedure in neurosurgical practice. New minimally invasive techniques and lateral or anterior approaches have changed the way degenerative problems are addressed and managed, moving away from traditional decompressive laminectomy and posterior instrumentation.
Participants will have the opportunity to practice lateral (XIF) and anterior (ALIF) approaches, including the exact site for the incision, proper dissection of muscular, bony, and ligamentous structures, decompression of the dural sac and nerve roots, preparation for arthrodesis, and the arthrodesis itself, with the respective instrumentation and virtual fluoroscopy (without radiation use).
THIS WORKSHOP PROVIDES 14 POINTS TOWARD RECERTIFICATION
Dates:
July 24th and 25th, 2025
Schedule:
Every hour from 8am to 4pm.
Capacity:
Limited to 24 participants.
