PRE-CONGRESS WORKSHOPS
SPINE MODELS
Endoscopic Lumbar
- Duration of the craniotomy: 2 hrs
- Location: Main auditorium
- Cost: $2,500 MXN per participant

Endoscopic Lumbar Surgery is an increasingly utilized minimally invasive technique for treating degenerative lumbar spine pathologies. The transforaminal and interlaminar approaches require a deep understanding of the posterior and lateral lumbar anatomy, including paraspinal muscles, facet joints, intervertebral discs, dural sac, nerve roots, and foraminal structures. Mastery of these techniques demands familiarity with endoscopic instruments, navigation, and safe corridor access to the spinal canal.
Participants will have the opportunity to practice these approaches using the UpSurgeOn non-living lumbar simulator, allowing precise identification of anatomical landmarks, endoscopic access through Kambin’s triangle, decompression of neural structures, disc removal, and foraminal enlargement. The course includes simulated fluoroscopic guidance (without radiation exposure), step-by-step instrument handling, and realistic scenarios to enhance spatial orientation and surgical confidence in a controlled, reproducible environment.
