To achieve excellence in any discipline, practice and repetition are required. Neurosurgery is no exception, as it requires long hours of training and practice. Nowadays, technology has allowed us to access hyper-realistic anatomical models, which enable us to practice neuro-surgical procedures over and over again. In this XXVIII Neurosurgery Congress, we have brought courses featuring the hyper-realistic Up-Surgeon models, with the aim of providing the opportunity to practice cranial, pediatric, and spinal approaches. These courses are designed for medical students, neurosurgery residents, young neurosurgeons, and experienced neurosurgeons who want to practice and familiarize themselves with new surgical techniques. All the models have features that simulate the skull and spine in a hyper-realistic manner, including bone, muscle, ligaments, dura mater, brain, spinal cord, cranial and spinal nerves, arachnoid, and vascular structures. All stations are equipped with the necessary instruments for proper surgery, including a microscope, craniotome, support materials, irrigation and suction, micro instruments, aneurysm clips, arthrodesis materials (implants), as well as virtual fluoroscopy (without the need for radiation).
