PRE-CONGRESS WORKSHOPS
CRANIAL MODELS
Interhemispheric Craniotomy
- Duration of the craniotomy: 40 min
- Location: Main auditorium
- Cost: $2,500 MXN per participant

The interhemispheric approach provides access to the interhemispheric fissure, the corpus callosum, the lateral ventricles, as well as the third ventricle. It is a procedure used for the treatment of distal anterior circulation aneurysms, resection of ventricular tumors, as well as epilepsy surgeries (callosotomy).
Participants will have the opportunity to practice this approach, including the exact site for the incision, proper placement of the trepanations, removal of the craniotomy, preservation of the sagittal sinus, proper opening of the dura mater, dissection of the interhemispheric fissure, proper localization of the cingulate gyrus, pericallosal arteries, identification of the corpus callosum, and access to the lateral ventricles and third ventricle.
THIS WORKSHOP PROVIDES 14 POINTS TOWARD RECERTIFICATION
Dates:
July 24th and 25th, 2025
Schedule:
Every hour from 8am to 4pm.
Capacity:
Limited to 32 participants.
