REGISTRATION

Most pituitary tumors and lesions in the perihypophyseal area, as well as some in the anterior floor of the skull base, can be accessed via a transnasal or transsphenoidal approach, either endoscopically or microscopically. It is important to be familiar with the nasal anatomy, paranasal sinuses, sphenoid sinuses, the sella turcica, cavernous and circular sinuses, and the carotid arteries to ensure a safe and effective approach.
Participants will have the opportunity to practice this approach, including the exact site for the nasal incision, proper placement of the speculum or endoscope, opening of the dura mater, anterior and posterior lateral boundaries, as well as proper closure to prevent CSF leakage.
